Yleistä

ISTQB-sertifiointikoetta valvoo FiSTB:n edustaja. Sertifiointikokeissa käytetään virallisesti katselmoituja ja hyväksyttyjä koekysymyksiä. Jokainen järjestettävä koe on yksilöllinen, mutta niissä saattaa esiintyä samoja kysymyksiä.

Kysymykset

Kokeessa on monivalintakysymyksiä, joissa yleensä kussakin on vain yksi oikea vastaus. Oikeasta vastauksesta saa yhden pisteen. Joissakin kysymyksissä saatetaan kysyä kahta tai kolmea oikeaa vastausta, mikä mainitaan erikseen. Joissakin kokeissa voi tulla myös useampi kuin yksi piste per kysymys. Lisäksi Expert-kokeissa osa kysymyksistä ovat esseetyyppisiä, jotka kirjoitetaan tietokoneella. Vääristä vastauksista pisteitä ei vähennetä. Osallistuja, joka saa vähintään 65 % kysymyksistä oikein, läpäisee sertifiointikokeen, ja FiSTB myöntää vastaavan sertifikaatin.

Kokeen kesto

Kaikki kokeet alkavat kello 10.00. Kokeen kesto vaihtelee koetyypistä riippuen. Kokelaat, joiden äidinkieli ei ole sama kuin kokeen kieli, saavat 25 % lisäaikaa. Koeaika minuuteissa löytyy FiSTB:n sivuilta: Kts. taulukko

Dysleksiaa sairastavat saavat 30 min lisäaikaa kokeeseen (muista valmistautua esittämään lääkärintodistus koepaikalla).

Esiehdot

ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level -kokeessa ei ole esitietovaatimuksia. Kaikissa muissa kokeissa esiehtona ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level -sertifikaatin suoritus. Expert-tason kokeessa esiehtona on lisäksi vähintään 1,5 vuotta käytännön testauskokemusta.

Välineet

Kokelaat voivat käyttää kokeessa sanakirjaa (ei elektroninen) sekä yksinkertaista taskulaskinta (ei ohjelmoitava), jotka kokeen valvoja tarkistaa ja hyväksyy ennen kokeen alkua. Kokelaat saavat käyttää kokeissa myös FiSTB:n sivuilla julkaistua sanastoa, jossa ei ole termien selityksiä mukana. Muita apuvälineitä, esim. kännykkää, syllabusta tai kurssimateriaalia, ei saa kokeessa käyttää.

Muuta huomioitavaa

Muista ottaa mukaan kuvallinen henkilöllisyystodistus, passi tai ajokortti!

Jos olet osallistumassa Advanced- tai Expert level -kokeeseen, muista ottaa mukaan Foundation Level -sertifikaatti mukaan koetilaisuuteen!

Advanced Level -koe olettaa sujuvan perustason termien käytön. Ole hyvä ja lue ennen koetta perustason syllabus, vastaava jatkotason syllabus sekä sanasto (Glossary) ja tee harjoituskoe tutustuaksesi kokeen muotoon. Advanced ja Expert-tason kokeisiin ilmoittautuminen suljetaan viimeistään 14 vrk ennen koepäivää ja perustason kokeisiin ilmoittautuminen noin viikkoa ennen koepäivää. Sen jälkeen voit kysyä jäljelle jääneitä vapaita peruutuspaikkoja osoitteessa ilmoittaudu (at) tivia.fi.

Ota huomioon, että ilmoittautumisesi muuttuu sitovaksi 14 vuorokautta ennen koetilaisuutta. Viimeisen ilmoittautumispäivän jälkeen tehdystä peruutuksesta perimme 50 % osallistumismaksusta. Peruuttamatta jätetyistä ilmoittautumisista perimme koko osallistumismaksun. Peruutusilmoitukset vastaanotetaan ainoastaan sähköpostitse osoitteeseen ilmoittaudu (at) tivia.fi .

Hinnasto 16.2.2024 kokeesta alkaen:

• Foundation level -kokeet: 250 € + ALV 24% = 310 €
• Advanced level -kokeet: 280 € + ALV 24 % = 347,20 €
• Expert level -kokeet: 450 € + ALV 24 % = 558 €

FiSTB:n ja TIVIAn jäsenyhdistysten jäsenet saavat perustason kokeesta 65 € alennuksen, eli hinta on 135 € + ALV 24 % = 167,40 €. Huom. eri alennuksia ei voi yhdistää! Jäsenalennuksen saadaksesi kirjaudu ensin sisään omilla jäsentunnuksillasi. Järjestelmä laskee tällöin alennuksen automaattisesti.

Foundation Level -kokeen hinta opiskelijoille ja työttömille on 100 € + ALV 24 % = 124 €. Saadaksesi Foundation Level -kokeen alennetulla hinnalla, valitse ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) student/unemployed -tuote ja lähetä ilmoittautumisen yhteydessä kopio opiskelijakortistasi tai työttömyystodistuksestasi osoitteeseen ilmoittaudu (at) tivia.fi. Ilman asianmukaista todistusta testi laskutetaan normaalihintaisena.

Koe laskutetaan 14 vuorokautta ennen koetilaisuutta ja myöhemmin tapahtuneissa ilmoittautumisissa heti ilmoittautumisen jälkeen. Maksuehto on 14 vuorokautta. Tulokset ilmoitetaan sähköpostitse heti, kun kokeet on korjattu ja maksun suoritus näkyy TIVIAn järjestelmässä.

General

The ISTQB certification exams are supervised by a FiSTB representative. Exams are made up of formally reviewed and approved exam questions. Every exam is unique, though they may contain the same individual questions.

Questions

The exam consists of multiple-choice questions for which usually only one answer, worth one point, is correct. Sometimes there are questions that have two or three correct answers, but that will be mentioned separately. Some exams may also come with more than one point per question. In Expert exams some of the questions require essay answers that are written on a computer. No points are deducted for wrong or missing answers. A participant needs at least 65 % of the points to pass the certification exam. The certificate is granted by FiSTB.

Exam duration

All exams start at 10.00. Exam duration depends on exam type. Participants who do not speak exam language as native language will get 25 % more time. Exact exam duration is found on the FiSTB exam page: Exam Table.

People with dyslexia get 30 minutes extra time for the test (be prepared to present a medical certificate at the exam).

Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level exam. In all other exams, the ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level certificate is required. Expert level exams require additionally at least 1.5 years of practical testing experience.

Material

Dictionaries (not electronic) and non-programmable pocket calculators can be used during the exam after inspection by the proctor. Participants may also use the glossary published on the FiSTB website, that does not include word explanations. Usage of other material, e.g. cellphone or any written material (including syllabus and course notes) is forbidden during the exam.

Other notes

Please be prepared to show your official ID (by e.g. passport or driver’s license).

Exams that require a Foundation Level certificate: Remember to bring your Foudation Level certificate to the exam!

ISTQB® is responsible for ISTQB® Certified Tester certifications which are based on public Syllabus, Glossary and to common exam rules. There are also sample questions available, which you can read before the exam. Fluently skill of Foundation Level terminology belongs to the conditions of Advanced Level and Expert Level exams.

Registration to Advanced and Expert Level exams will be closed 14 days and to Foundation Level exams about one week before the exam. After that, you can ask free seats from ilmoittaudu (at) tivia.fi. Please note that the registration is binding. You may cancel your registration up to 14 days before the exam, after that the cancellation fee is 50 % of the exam fee. If the registration has not been cancelled we will charge the whole exam fee. Please email your cancellation request to ilmoittaudu (at) tivia.fi

Certification exam fees from exam on February 16th, 2024:

• Foundation level exams: 250 € + VAT 24 % = 310 €
• Advanced level exams: 280 € + VAT 24 % = 347,20 €

For FiSTB/TIVIA members the Foundation Level exam fee is 135 € + VAT 24 % = 167,40 €. In order to get member price, log in with your TIVIA ID and the system calculates the right fee.

For students and unemployed the Foundation Level exam fee is 100 € + VAT 24 % = 124 €. In order to get that fee, choose ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) student/unemployed -product and send copy of your student card or evidence on your unemployment to ilmoittaudu (at) tivia.fi. Otherwise you will be charged as the normal price. Allowances can't be combined.

The invoice will be sent 14 days before the exam (14 day payment terms). The results will be reported after the payment. NOTE! If your company pays the exam, please check the correct billing address and PO (purchase order) number from your organizations finance department.
